P107 COMPLEX GRAVIMETRIC INVESTIGATION OF ACTIVE FAULTS AROUND AIGION GULF OF CORINTH GREECE Introduction 1 Gulf of Corinth in Central Greece represents an active geological structure on the Aegean plate prolonged in the WNW- ESE direction with 1 – 2 cm/y of horizontal extension in the N-S direction (Briole et al. 1999) and high earthquake activity (Rigo et al. 1996). On the southern coast of the Gulf (North Peloponnesos) there is a set of active normal faults parallel to the axis of the Gulf and dipping to N at about 60 deg angle.
