Abstract
P155 GEOPHYSICAL MONITORING FOR THE PRESERVATION OF ARCHITECTURAL CONSTRUCTIONS IN URBANISED AREAS AUTHOR Z.M. SLEPAK Address Kazan State University Department of Geophysics 18 Kreml. St. 420008 Kazan Russia Summary This paper describes geophysical monitoring (GM) used for the first time in the Republic of Tatarstan for the preservation of architectural monuments. The GM consisted of a series of repeated observations of the physical fields which change in time due to geological processes. The recorded parameters included non-tidal changes in gravity and total electric conductivity caused by variations in the hydrological regime allowing the engineers and geophysicists to study an impact
