Abstract

The evolution of linear processing methods is first described and illustrated with seismic data examples. A brief review of current multiple suppression techniques is presented. The possibility of using non-linear inverse scattering for multiple attenuation is described. The procedure is applied to the suppression of multiples and illustrated with synthetic and real data examples.
