Abstract

Nowadays the fundamental problem of reconstructing the solid field distribution into the solid
distribution of medium conductivity has been solved by the applied electrical survey based on
the transient electromagnetic fields. It holds the great promise for the use of the dense spacetime
observations systems in electrical survey for the solution of such problems as oil prospecting,
reservoir monitoring, comprehensive study of ore deposits, kimberlite fields and others. Inductive
and galvanic field sources can be used for area observation systems. The evaluation of
their efficiency is of great importance for 3D electrical survey technology. In this paper the
comparative efficiency of the five field source is considered using the solution of oilprospecting
task under the conditions of the Siberian platform as an example.
