Abstract
S047 SEDIMENTOLOGY AND PETROPHYSICS IN THE RESERVOIR CHARACTERIZATION OF THE OURHOUD FIELD ALGERIA 1 NICK LEE AZIZ OUDJIDA CHRIS HOWELLS and KEVIN CORRIGAN Anadarko Algeria Company LLC The Ourhoud Field is one of the largest oil discoveries of recent times in the Algerian Berkine Basin containing more than 2 billion barrels of oil in place. The reservoir interval is within sandstones of the Triassic Argileux Greseux Inferieur Formation (TAGI). These are characterised by a complex sequence of fluvial lacustrine lacustrine-deltaic aeolian and palaeosol facies associations. The complexity of this continental depositional system as a reservoir is further enhanced by the
