Abstract

The possible existence of Palaeozoic oil source rocks in the Barakan Graben is based on analogues from the Goulburn Graben and the Petrel Sub-basin. Such sources could charge either interbedded Palaeozoic reservoirs or overlying and updip Jurassic and younger reservoirs.
