Abstract

Various 4D processing techniques are based on 1D approximation and their applicability is limited in the case of dipping reservoirs. In this paper we present a synthetic case study with dips up to 40° and superimposed reservoirs where data have been generated using full waveform modelling. New processing, based on full waveform inversion technique has been applied to the data in order to extract the 4D signal. Our results show that even in a complex environment seismic monitoring can be considered.
