On oil displacement by gas injection

Abstract
A two-step procedure is developed for solving 1D problems of multicomponent two-phase flow generic for EOR processes based on gas injection. First, general mathematical framework underlying this approach is presented briefly. Then its realization is illustrated by examples for 4- and 5-component systems with constant partition coefficienis and for oil displacement by CO2. Directions of future research are also discussed.
