3D Model Based Strategy for Subsurface Parameter Determination

Realization of the potential of depth domain seismic data processing requires an effective workflow for the estimation of the subsurface velocities and interface locations. We describe such an approach based on a solid model builder. The first stage of the work is the creation of an initial model. The second stage includes model updates by local prestack depth migration followed by local or global tomographic updates.
