Abstract

The receiver ghost for ocean bottom recording, unlike a towed streamer ghost, generates notches in the seismic passband. Fortunately, the positioning of dual or multi-component sensors on the sea bottom presents an opportunity for removing the receiver ghost and reverberation sequence whilst producing a single combined output from the hydrophone and geophone
