Mapping of fractures is important for the prediction of fluid flow in many reservoir types. The fluid flow depends mainly on the efficiency of the reservoir seals (Key, 1996). Consequently improved spatial mapping of the open and closed fracture systems will allow a better prediction of the fluid flow pattern.
