Abstract
Although an essential dry rock model is needed in Biot-Gassman- Domenico equations (Strandenes, 1991), the theory is of no use to predict frame rock properties. An original semi-empirical, inversion method leading to the prediction of a dry rock model has been previously described by K Zizi (1994). It proved its efficiency combined with B-G-D equations for building a straightforward relationship between acoustic and petrophysical properties for homogeneous carbonate reservoir.
