Abstract

Pre-stack depth migration procedures have been used in many areas for seismic imaging, interval velocity analysis, and depth conversion. Most migration procedures assume isotropic wave propagation models. However, in areas like the North Sea, the isotropic assumption is not correct, and this can produce incorrect depth imaging if not properly accounted for.
