Abstract
The carbonate fractured-vuggy reservoir is the main hydrocarbon reservoir in Halahatang area of Tarim Basin located in western China. It’s difficult to estimate the volume of carbonate cavity reservoir because the pore spaces have complex structure and highly heterogeneous. For this, a complex three-dimensional physical model is constructed. On the basis of forward modeling, we analyze seismic attributes of the physical model, use 3D visualization carving technology for seismic attribute bodies to estimate the apparent volume of pore-cave reservoir, and then obtain the relationship curve between the carving volume and the actual volume of the hole reservoir, study the influence of different factors such as different overlying layer, holes fillings and pore size on the calibration curve of the pore volume.
