Abstract

This paper describes the application of 3D resistivity modeling to an electrical survey carried out in the area of the spring of Pedras Salgadas (NE Portugal). The aim of the project was the delineation of the local fault pattem and the impvement of the understandmg of the hydrogeologic constraints to fluid circulation. The model was later used to locate a new well, which, after being drilled. showed good production, in terms of water flow rate and hydrogeochemical properties.
