Web subsystem of the Cartographic Information Retrieval System (CIRS) is based on OGC-specifications This allows to any user whose computer is connected to the Internet, to search on the electronic map and query data from SBDGI funds, and evaluate the coverage areas of these data. We describe some aspects of implementation of the virtual geo-portal of the CIRS. It provides advanced features for searching, processing and analysis of geodata.
