Abstract
Modeling of magnetotelluric (MT) data, need analysis magnetotelluric impedance tensor. This analysis allows the determination of the size (geometry) of the regionalconductivity structure. where 2-D later, it is necessary to give the strike angle. To makethis analysis a number of approaches are proposed, such as those of Bahr (1988 and1991) and Groom-Bailey (1989 and 1991). Recently, a new approach was proposed by Caldwell (2004) calls the tensorphase, which appear very interesting. The aim of our study is to implement the method Caldwell, the calculation of the phase tensor and their settings, and then compare the results obtained using this method with conventional methods
