Abstract

The study concerns the implementation of noise-like (pseudorandom) current signals for primary EM field excitation in time-domain EM imaging. We show that this approach yields better noise cancellation compared to the conventional stacking technique (provided that transmitters’ power and recording time are equal to those in stacking mode). Some results of recovery of the EM impulse response from measured timeseries data based on various processing schemes are demonstrated.
