Abstract
The use of geophysical methods in environmental applications has taken a considerable role in countries which are affected by major risks such as landslides, solution cavities as well as seismic hazard. Algeria is one of the countries affected by such risks. Hence, geophysical studies in several areas had been used for site characterization in karstic environment that have been chosen for the establishment of infrastructure projects (residential buildings, highway, etc…). The geophysical survey in most of the studied sites revealed the presence of cavities which have also been noticed during the foundation excavations.
