Abstract
The paper describes the regional tectonic setting and evolution of the Levantine basin in the Eastern Mediterranean. Thereafter the majority of the paper focuses on the hydrocarbon prospectivity and play types in the basin derived from an interpretation of 20,000 km of modern, high quality seismic data.
