Abstract
Russian and foreign oil experts give rough estimate of world oil resources as much as one trillion tank barrels. One more trillion of tank barrels have been produced yet. The evergrowing industry demand for oil issues the challenge of exploration and development of new hydrocarbon resources. Both aspects are the unique problems. It is known that easy surveyed oil fields have been stricken. The novel technologies in geophysics, mining, production activity and increased recovery ratio call for further development in order to meet the requirements. The work give the explanation of potential formation of unconventional hydrocarbon deposits in deep fractured zones, gas hydrate formation in ocean floor, formation of bituminous belts and others.
