Abstract

Summary

The commercial application of polymer flooding requires a systematic approach. The efficient use of resources requires that results should be first acquired in the lab with subsequent testing onshore before going offshore. Also special emphasis during the lab phase has to be paid on critical parameters like injectability and logistical implications before starting with more elaborate development steps.

In the presented example, a comprehensive screening and lab program was carried out. Results were transferred to an injection test and are subject to further calibration of the respective reservoir model.
