We show an application of surface wave processing to an oil and gas exploration data to directly estimate time-average VP and VS needed for statics computation. The method is based on a relationship between dispersion curve wavelength and surface wave investigation depth which is estimated without prior information. Finally, we compare the results of the direct transformation method with the result of surface wave 1D inversion (for VS) and P-wave tomography (for VP).
