Seismic detector positioning in a 4D/4C OBC survey using both acoustics and first breaks

Bole et al. use a combination of acoustics and first breaks to position detectors in a 4D/4C OBC survey to characterize the Texaco Teal South field (Gulf of Mexico). While results are very similar, they conclude that no one positioning method addresses all requirements depending on particular aspects of survey design.
