Abstract
A seismic interference experiment has been conducted. It was designed to test the effect of the most important parameters under worst-case conditions. Exhaustive testing was possible by simulating the various parameter combinations in the processing centre, using a real interference dataset. It was found that in general the traditional 5-μ.bar limit for RMS pressure noise amplitude can be relaxed, except in some specific circumstances.
