Abstract

The Rotliegend gas reservoirs are one of the two major targets in NW Germany (Albertsen 1992). Recent 3D seismic data may serve as an important aid in the future for picking well locations and field development planning, as it already does in the Zechstein play (Karnin et al. 1992). This article will introduce a new lateral prediction method for aspecific Rotliegend reservoir integrating all information available.
