Abstract

Caipe Field was discovered in 1967 by drilling of the well C-1X. During the completion<br>operations the zones corresponding to Gobernador Formation of the Eocene were<br>tested successfully, nevertheless the "O" Member of the Escandalosa Formation of the<br>Cenomanian – Turonian, mainly composed by a mix of carbonates and siliciclastic rocks, was<br>not evaluated due to little economic interest at that time.
