Abstract

The 10 5/8” and 8 ½” sections of Tangara-1 ST3/ST4 exploratory well were drilled with the Power<br>Drive PDX5* tool, a Rotary Steerable System (RSS) run for the first time through the Carbonera series (Miocene-<br>Oligocene), in combination with the Conventional Steerable Assembly (downhole motor), to follow the<br>directional plan designed to reach the target defined at the top of the Mirador (Eocene) and hence struck the<br>hydrocarbons expected in this reservoir.
