oa Variations in effective elastic plate thickness of the East African lithosphere

A compilation of new and existing Bouguer gravity and topographic data over East<br>Africa is presented. These data were processed using the coherence method (Forsyth,<br>1985) to derive the effective elastic plate thickness. Based on these results, we investigate<br>the long-term flexural rigidity of the lithosphere.
