Piloto de Sistema Permanente Para Monitoramento Sísmico em Área Terrestre

A pilot of Seismovie technology was installed in one of the mature field of Reconcavo basin to seismic monitoration of reservoirs submitted to CO2 injection in an EOR process. That was the first permanent seismic monitoration project implemented in the country, and designed to evaluate the effectiveness of this technology in a production environment typical of Brazilian onshore fields. During the first phase of this project, three months of continuous monitoration were recorded, using two sources and 444 receivers spreaded over a rectangular area around one of the injection wells, before starting CO2 injection. Obtained results confirmed the sensitivity of this PRM technology, and revealed important features associated with seismic response variation related with operational activities and other near surface variations.
