Abstract

An comparison study of several stochastic simulation methods was performed in the channel beds belonging to reservoirs of Mina El Carmen Formation (Upper Cretaceous) in the Diadema Field, located within the north flank of the of San Jorge Gulf basin. The<br>performed study included comparison of results from 30 realizations using sequential Gaussian simulation, sequential Indicator simulation, Object based and Multiple-point sequential simulations performed over the same facies data. The probability threedimensional models derived from simulations shows better and realistic response of Multiple-points methods over the previously wide used simulation methods. As a result of the study, it can be concluded that Multiple-points methods are most appropriate to estimate the uncertainty of high sinuosity fluvial systems.
