Abstract

G004 EXAMPLE OF ANISOTROPY DATA IN SWEEP STUDIES Abstract 1 Deriving the vertical and horizontal resistivities and the corresponding anisotropy ratio for deviated or horizontal wells drilled in a fluvial or deltaic environment illustrates the complexity of the sand correlation and the variation of the sand quality along the well penetration. This process which has been presented in a number of papers in recent years was applied in a study of water sweep in a field development in Ecuador. The objective of the project was to identify enhancements to the field-wide-water-management program. The anisotropy analysis was carried out to evaluate
