P056 ANALYSIS OF GPR ABSORPTION TO MAP A WASTE AREA CONTAMINATED BY HYDROCARBONS AND METALS Abstract 1 An area of about 7000m 2 in Northern Italy was used for several years to dispose the industrial waste of a mechanical company. As a result the site is contaminated by light and heavy hydrocarbons and by metals. The extension of the area that must be submitted to a remediation action was approximately known on the basis of the site history and the results produced by some DC resistivity profiles executed over the expected landfill body.
