Abstract

P082 SEISMIC-ELECTRIC EFFECTS ON THE SPONTANEOUS POTENTIAL time time Figure 1 curve with SP effect Figure 2 curve without SP effect EAGE 66th Conference & Exhibition — Paris France 7 - 10 June 2004 1 Summary. Vibratory Excitation generates not only reflections and refractions from different subsurface interfaces but also electromagnetic waves with different frequencies. Addressed in this paper were the vibration-induced effects with controllable source on the spontaneous potential under the field geologic conditions. Test results confirmed that the vibration-induced effects on spontaneous potential do exist under the field conditions and after a long period of continuously monitored records
