P217 SEISMIC PROCESSING IN THE PRESENCE OF ROUGH TOPOGRAPHY AND IGNEOUS ROCKS IN COLOMBIAN ANDES Abstract 1 Seismic data from a complex area in Colombia which includes igneous rock outcrops illustrate some shortcomings of the seismic method. Noise and near surface effects related to factors such as rough topography high velocities near the surface and weathering should be overcome before searching for an appropriate velocity field.
