Abstract

As wells with existing gas lift (GL) installations mature and reservoir pressures decline conventional GL systems often become less efficient. The lack of reservoir pressure makes it difficult to maintain a fluid level at a depth that allows the existing GL system to be effective. The cost of a work over remediation program to redesign and rerun the existing GL system can at times be considered uneconomical.
