Abstract

P236 AUTOMATIC REAL-TIME PROCESSING OF INDUCED MICROSEISMIC DATA Summary 1 Microseismic monitoring in hydrocarbon reservoirs provides means for further delineation of their internal structures and for monitoring of dynamic processes such as fluid movements and stress changes. To this end we have developed an automatic monitoring system for realtime localisation of microseismic events. The processing steps include event detection P- and S-wave onset time determination polarisation analysis and a subsequent event localisation with appropriate visualisation and storage of relevant event parameters. We have successfully applied the system to several microseismic data sets meeting the requirements for real-time monitoring. The focus
