Abstract
P017 STRUCTURAL STYLES AND HYDROCARBON HABITAT IN CENTRAL TUNISIA WEST OF THE N-S AXIS 1 1. Introduction From the structural point of view Central Tunisia constitutes the so-called “Atlasic foothills” a transitional zone between the stable Saharan Platform to the South and the Thrust Belt to the North. This position favorable to the development of various structural traps has proved successful in several circumstances. Notable among these are the Douleb Semmama and Tamesmida fields which are producing oil since the late sixties. Furthermore lateral facies changes more or less controlled by structural features take place within Central Tunisia Platform which
