C045 Seismic Investigation and 3D Tomography in the Ross Sea (Antarctica) for Western Ice Sheet Evolution Studies G. Boehm (OGS) S. Picotti* (OGS) & N. Ocakoglu (ITU - Istanbul Technical University) SUMMARY Recent studies based on multichannel seismic surveys carried out in Ross Sea (Eastern Basin Antarctica) detected an important erosion surface in the Lower Pliocene called RSU2. The RSU2 horizon determines a sharp change both in the margin geometry and in the depositional sequences which may be interpreted as a major increase of the glacial influence.
