Abstract
H022 Bypassed and "Fringe oil" Prognosis in Mature Fields for Improved Oil Recovery S.R. Gupta* (ONGC) SUMMARY The study has indicated that- 1-The performance of later wells though placed at a structurally favorable position is dependent on the quantum of oil drained by adjacent wells. In areas of high drainage they show poor performance and water out early. 2-At a later stage of production there is a rapid rise in OWC reflecting the fast encroachment of bottom water that does noty aallow balancing with the regional OWC. 3-The study has indicated existence of undrained prospective areas with "Fringe-oil" at lower structural
