Tirkel (National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine UkrNIMI) SUMMARY Technique to predict coalbed methane (CBM) accumulation zones is described. It is based on a priori analysis of seismic wavefields using mathematical simulation methods as well as consideration of the features of spatial distribution of the sources of gas generation. It is shown that several sequences of coalrock mass of the Donets
