Abstract
P252 Exploration of the Atlantic Margins – Prospectivity Challenges and the Importance of Integrated G&G Datasets S Evans* (PGS Reservoir) N. Humphrey (PGS Reservoir) & M. Martin (PGS Marine Geophysical) SUMMARY The UK Atlantic Margin (excluding the Faeroe Shetland Basin) is still considered a frontier area with only 15 exploration wells drilled over the last 30 years. To date Dooish and Benbecula represent the only technical successes within an area of ~70000km2 resulting in the poor technical success rate of 13%. The area is geologically challenging with igneous intrusives and extrusives complicating exploration. The PGS West of Britain MegaProject comprises
