Abstract

It is well known that DC methods are widely used for solving engineering-geological tasks. However geophysicists often face a situation, when the use of a DC methods are low effective, The reason for this is low contrasts of rocks resistivity, In such situations We offer the usage of an IP method with a measurement of differential parameters in an early stage of transient (0.1-50 mc). This sampling interval was choused nat accidentally. The laboratory investigations that were previously carried out have shown that polarizing properties of sedimentary rocks vary mostly in this time interval. The choice of IP differential parameters in contrastto commonly used chargeability allows to increase considerably the sensitivity of measurements even for the insignificant altemations of a physical-chemical condition of sedimentary rocks.
