Substantial improvement in the subsurface resolution of 3D seismic data is gained by running either seismic inversion or coherente cube processing. The acoustic impedance results represent an improved subsurface image of absolute acoustic impedance variations, which can be used for lithologic and stratigraphic interpretations.
