f Marine Geometry Design for Optimum 3D Seismic Imaging

This paper discusses certain aspects of the design of mullisource, multistreamer 3D acquisition geometries, which are referred to throughout this paper as templates. The response of the acquisition system is combined with that of the processing system to obtain a total system response. This provides more insight into system behaviour than previously available diagnostic tools, and can be used to optimise the design of the acquisition and processing system for a particular 3D survey objective.
