Comparing of Shallow Seismic Reflection Surveys by Planted Geophones and Land Streamers

We compared the image quality of shallow seismic surveys, which were realized with planted geophones and a seismic land streamer. Our profile of 200 m length was measured with 72 receivers in a spacing of 1 m. The streamer allows the recording of seismic data much faster, as with planted geophones. The records with the land streamer show a strong noise. With an appropriate processing can be reached, that the stacked sections for both recordings are nearly equal.
