Offshore Seismoacoustic Survey Technology – From Two Frequency Profiling to Multichannel Systems

Offshore seismoacoustic data, acquired by simultaneous use of several data acquisition systems, working in different frequency ranges, are discussed. The technology is effective in detailed study of shallow sediments, their physical properties and lithology. Data processing remarkably improves the quality of time-sections. In some cases, especially if survey was conducted during perturbed weather, satisfactory results may be obtained only after proper processing.
