Abstract
Frequently the boundary forming one inphase reflection on seismic records, is generated not by discontinuous change of elastic properties of rocks, and rather smooth change having various smoothness. Therefore, the attribute describing smoothness of change of elastic properties along horizon is necessary for reliable interpretation, and coordination seismic and wells data. In the work the technology based on not orthogonal decomposition of a seismic trace in the surplus basis, is considered, allowing to receive similar attribute. The technology has been realized in the program, approbation on real data has shown, that variations of values of the found attributes on the strike can testify about lithologic changes or change of types facies transition
