Creating Faulted Structural Surfaces Using Kriging with Smart Pseudo Well Control

A novel approach in the creation of faulted structural surfaces using the kriging algorithm and “smart” pseudo well control is presented. In our method, pseudo well control locations are generated automatically and then depth information is passed to these locations from real well control during the interpolation process. This method is an enhancement to the local unfaulting approach introduced recently.
