Abstract

TOTAL has decided to develop a Geoscience internal integrated FrameWork (Sismage-CIG) to address the challenge of increasingly complex fields in Exploration and Production. It is based on an open and scalable architecture allowing both a better integration of in-house research, methodologies and workflows into fit to purpose solutions. Architecture implements a complete and extendible Shared Earth Model to support integrated operational studies, from Seismic Interpretation aspects to Reservoir Simulation and History Match including Geology interpretation and modelling. Based on Standards, mainly from Energistics (RESQML, but also WITSML and PRODML), it allows an efficient link to commercial integrated workflows and tools requested for a realistic use for operational 2G&R studies. RESQML v2.0.1 Data Model, design, capabilities and transfer format is a core component of our archictecture. It allowed us to improve/extend actual data model and to replace classical file data transfer by a more easy, secure and data management coherent solution using a more efficient way to exchange, share, update and manage project data with traceability and all item’s relations, if needed. Various aspects of the implementation of this Shared Earth Model will be presented, from Architecture, Data Modelling to Data Managing, with their links to the studies workflows.
